Information sharing (my favorite web, food, tourism, etc ... and a bit of everything) and new technologies
Always relative to my recent migration to a new domain name, I had to remove information about my old site that were already indexed in Google.
To do this Google offers Google Webmaster Tools , a set of tools for webmasters and site administration in Google, some functions in bulk:
- Submit a sitemap
- Overview of the indexed data for your site
- Statistics
- Woodworking Tools
It is in this last category is the service that interests us.
After you are authenticated on Google Webmaster Tools and choosing to configure your site, you click the menu "Tools> Remove URLs."
Then click the button "New Removal Request" and select the withdrawal mode (a single URL, an entire site, etc..) Before submitting your application.
The update of the Google index can then take several days, be patient ... or may not also be possible and the tool will return an error and an explanation, as in my case ... gniii ... I'll have leaned over :

you also just put a redirect on your old site. Your site then keeps his place in the google index.
